Become Mentally Strong

Knowing what bad habits caused us is very important; Bad habits like envying your friends on facebook which actually leads to depression.

There are 3 kinds of destructive beliefs that make us less effective and rob us of our mental health.

First one:

Unhealthy beliefs of ourselves

Don't feel sorry for yourselves. While its ok to be sad self-pity goes beyond that. Don't magnify your misfortune or think "why does this happen to me".

That way of thinking keeps you depressed and focus more on the problem rather than finding a solution.

Second one:

Unhealthy beliefs about others

We think other people can control us and hence give away our power. You always have a choice to not give away your power. It's you who is in control.

Third one:

Unhealthy beliefs about the world

We tend to think that the world owes us something which often leads to disappointment.

Withhold your mental strength because you never know when you would need it.
Work hard on not just to create good habits but to get rid of your bad habits.
Here are Amy's 13 things that mentally strong people don't do.

As she says, it's a reminder that all the bad habits that we do once will keep us stuck

Mental strength is a lot like physical strength.
If you want to be physically strong you have to visit the gym. But if you really wanted to see results you also have to give up eating junk food.

Similarly, to become mentally strong you have to practice good habits and at the same time get rid of your bad habits.
Bad habits will hold you back.

Don't compare yourselves with others.
The only person you should compare to is the person you were yesterday.

And don't expect the world to be fair. Accept how it is.
Your world is what you make it
